Changes to our catering offerings

After much consideration, we have decided not to provide wedding catering for 2013. Our restaurant, Nora’s Table, has grown to be very busy. We’ve expanded to 7 nights a week and added weekend breakfast. We just don’t feel like we can provide the many, many hours of planning involved in preparing a meal for what is the most important day of our client’s lives.

We will continue to provide catering services for our local wineries for wine dinners, and other events. If you have questions, please call Kathy at 541-386-8870.

Here we are, smack in the middle of wedding season … but we’re stopping for just a minute to share a note from some happy parents. We catered a small wedding rehearsal dinner for them a few weeks back, and they were kind enough to pass along these words:

Gorge Catering (Nora’s Table) provided an exquisite display of food with an Italian theme at our son and beautiful daughter-in-law’swedding rehearsal celebration, Aug. 12, 2011 in Hood River. Upon a prompt arrival at the Columbia Cliff Villas, Rainbow, Sam, and Sergio immediately began transporting food, dishes, etc. up three levels. They never looked exhausted or overwhelmed even after many trips from their van to the villa.

Rainbow, Sam, and Sergio were so accommodating to our every need and within an hour and a half, they presented a very inviting and impressive display of food and drink for our guests. The atmosphere was buzzing with people and Rainbow, Sam, and Sergio remained cool, calm, and collected. When they saw a ‘need’, they were available.

What an innovative presentation of the dessert served in coffee cups! The tiramisu was divine, Rainbow!

The superlative food and efficient service combined to create a memorable evening! The Gulizia and Reinhard families and guests highly recommend Kathy Watson’s Gorge Catering who went far beyond our expectations!

If you are planning a wedding or other celebration this next year, please join us for a tasting this coming fall or winter. We think our best attribute as a catering company is that our food is fresh. local and not just flavorful, but memorable. How do we know? Well, we get e-mails from guests asking us to share recipes for dishes they enjoyed at weddings or events we catered. And rave reviews from our brides and grooms, some of which you can read here.

So before you choose a caterer, let us give you a taste, not only of our food, but of the local wines we recommend.
